Weekend trip

Last Saturday we went on a small trip to Aso. It was raining really hard in the morning, so I felt a bit reluctant to go at first. But it was pretty fun, so I'm glad I did.

Plan A was to go photograph もみじ (maple trees) if the weather was good, plan B was to go eat 馬肉 (horse meat). When I first came to Japan, I was against eating cute pony meat. But as it turned out, horse meat is delicious. Nowadays I'm totally fine with it.

This is the restaurant we went to. The view is just amazing.

I tried making the base for the project model to motivate me to work harder. But all it did was make my hands hurt after cutting all that paper for 2 days. I want to be less lazy!

The paper was expensive. I must work hard!!!

After finishing the base, I decided to celebrate by buying lots of food and sweets. I think this time the シュクリーム wasn't that tasty though.

Ah, but now my teeth hurt because a day later I bought a huge amount of caramel sweets. They remind me of 'iriski'...

I saw this while buying my stash of caramels. Hehe. Would you buy one?

Walking round

Yesterday the weather was nice, so we went for a walk. The general route was from Kamikumamoto station to Kumamoto station.

Every time we passed a bridge or a particular building, Shiv would badger me to take a photo. He wanted me to write more about what I saw, you see. I'm not really that into randomly taking photos though.

This is Tsuboigawa, I believe - one of the rivers here in Kumamoto. Or rather a river branch?

New hardware

Now that I have an iPhone, I recon it will be easier to upload photos and typing random stuff up while riding the bus. Spending hours uploading stuff from my old camera seemed too much like wasting time.
Also, my husband keeps bugging me to write stuff. 'Your life has become a boring routine',- he says. 'You should write! Then you will be forced to go out and find stuff to write about.'
I think he's overestimating my abilities a bit there.

Anyway, here's some random picture to try out the upload feature.

Seems relatively straightforward. However, it only shows photos below the post.
